چکیده

Introduction: The outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has posed great threat to human health. T cells play a critical role in antiviral immunity but their numbers and functional state COVID-19 patients remain largely unclear. present study was carried out at Armed Forces Institute Pathology (AFIP), Dhaka assess the degree cytopenia cell subsets COVID 19 its association with severity disease. aim this is reduction both non severe patients. Methods: Total 100 having positive result RTPCR for SARS-CoV-2 lymphopenia were recruited study. Patients grouped as ICU non- according clinical conditions, consisting 50 each group. Data obtained flow cytometric analysis peripheral blood using monoclonal antibodies. Results: In study, absolute value CD3+ below normal range 47 (94%) Compared non-ICU group, median significantly lowered (P=0.019) CD4+ also 91patients (91%). All group showed low counts. Moreover, lower observed compared (P = 0.004). CD8+ 64 (64%). Similar cells, 0.028). Conclusion: Significant occurs COVID-19. Does a cell protein explain Covid-19 severity

Does a protein on the surface of some of our cells explain why certain people are more at risk from covid-19? The coronavirus attaches to a receptor protein on the surface(ACE) of our cells to gain entry to them. The protein is carried by cells in the nose, lungs and gut. It is possible that variation in how much of this protein people have may help explain why some are more likely to die from ...

T cell receptor gene rearrangements define a monoclonal T cell proliferation in patients with T cell lymphocytosis and cytopenia.

We have used probes from the T cell receptor beta and gamma chain loci to investigate the clonality of T lymphocytes in eight patients with T cell lymphocytosis and cytopenia (TCLC). This syndrome, which is strongly associated with rheumatoid arthritis, is characterized by peripheral blood and bone marrow lymphocytosis and neutropenia, red cell aplasia, or both. By means of T cell monoclonal an...
